Learn How To Cure Sleep Apnea

Snore No More

The SnoreEzzz Anti-Snoring Pillow is marketed as a pillow that can effectively reduce or get rid of snoring altogether. The theory is that snoring is caused by muscle vibrations in the throat that may not occur if the neck and spine are properly aligned. What sets this pillow apart from others is its design and ergonomic features. It provides a soft pad of hypoallergenic polyfill that helps to cradle the head while keeping the neck properly aligned. People who purchase this anti-snoring pillow often find that it helps to reduce snoring quite effectively.

The SnoreEzzz is generally favored positively by those who have chosen to purchase it. One of the benefits offered by the pillow is that it can be used from a variety of different positions. Side-sleepers can still get a comfortable night's sleep through the use of the SnoreEzzz.

Does It Work?

Purchasing a SnoreEzzz pillow might not magically get rid of snoring, but it can make an improvement and reduce the frequency with which a person snores. It does not work for everyone, and sometimes people snore due to certain conditions that cannot be resolved simply by changing the pillow. However, if you or someone you know has a snoring problem you might want to consider purchasing this pillow as a cost-effective starting point. You will at the very least be taking several steps in the right direction.

If you are interested in purchasing an anti-snoring pillow, you should know that it is usually sold at a reasonable price. In any case, you might want to consider reading up on the subject a little more and checking out other reviews related to the SnoreEzzz before deciding to make a purchase. This will help to give you a good idea of whether or not it would be a worthwhile investment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Its not snoring - more like wheezing - how do I stop it?
My hubby wheezes on a night and it is waking me up. He has no knowledge of this and even claims to be awake when I ask him to turn over but is unaware he is doing it. It is not snoring, more like a wheeze. For the sake of my sanity how do I stop this so I can get some sleep. By the way it doesn't reduce it if he does turn over.

    • ANSWER:
Wheezing is an Asthma symptom that results from narrowing of the airways. A wheeze sounds like a high-pitched whistle as you breathe through your mouth or nose.

Although wheezing is heard most easily when breathing out, or exhaling, it can also be heard when breathing in, or inhaling. Wheezing is a sure sign of an asthma flare-up and is often accompanied by chest tightness, coughing, and shortness of breath.
Maybe a visit to a Respitory Specialist for further tests?

BUT NERVES IN THE FACE ARE NOT YET RE SENSIBILIZED ( ?? ) .
    ARE YOU A SPECIALIST ?
DO YOU KNOW IF SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO ACCELERATE NERVOUS RECOVERY AFTER SLEEP APNOEA SURGERY ?

    • ANSWER:
Inadequate feeling on your facial area is pretty serious. First, I would like to suggest contacting your otorhinolaryngologist (the physician who performed the UPPP procedure). Sorry, I can not answer your question accurately, because my knowledge about cranial nerves is not well in depth enough to provide you with a solid answer; but I can give you these links to two great otorhinolaryngologists and they do have a web page where can submit your question and they would love to answer your question.

  3. QUESTION:
    2 questions about fat/obese people?
Why is it that people who are fat snore more; and also, are prone to diabetes?

No nasty questions please, or saying I am hating on fat people; I am just asking.
dcork100, I am asking a simple question and YOU are the one making an issue out of it. There always has to be one, and on this thread, it's YOU. I just reported you for your trolling on here.
Thanks yahoo for deleting this answer as iI requested and thanks to the others for the answers.

    • ANSWER:
Well the extra weight pushes down on their lungs & windpipe causing them to snore. But I have a friend who is 112 lbs., who snores awfully.

I don't remember the second one.

  4. QUESTION:
    Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy and a Septoplasty?
I'm getting all three of these done in about 8 hours here. And I really have a few questions about what to expect and what not.

First off, I'm getting my tonsils and adenoids out and then the ENT is correcting my deviated septum. I''m doing this becuase of cronic sinus infections, having large tonsels and large adenoids which partially block the airway to my nose.

So, right now, I'm a mouth breather, I hardly every breath out of my nose and I can't really keep breathing out of my nose because I can't inhale fast enough. Besides that, I snore, loud. I've been told my snoring might be affected too, I;m hoping. Finally my voice sometimes is nasally depending on my sinuses, so yeh.

I'm asking if I can expect:
    - no snoring
    - more sauve voice

I'd also like to know if anything else might change, like sleep patterns, athletics, ect.

    THANKS A MILLION

    • ANSWER:
I asked before my operation and was told that my voice would change in pitch. It's now actually higher. I would expect the snoring to go away or at least not be so bad and your voice would be a little higher in pitch.

  5. QUESTION:
Stop Snore Ring? (please, only those who have actually used it or know someone who has used it)?
Has anyone had any success with the Stop Snore Ring ( http://stopsnorering.com )? Please, no worthless BS answers from those who only "think" it is or might be bogus. I would like answers only from those who have actually had experience with it (tried it before or knows someone who has tried it before). The Stop Snore Ring is quite inexpensive, so I would prefer to start there in finding a remedy, before looking to more expensive snoring aids or seeing my doctor.

    • ANSWER:

  6. QUESTION:
Does your gf/bf snoring turn you off?
I have horrible sleeping habits and one of my worse ones is snoring at night. OH boy, I mean ridiculously loud snoring.

I blame it on my sinus and the fact that I have deep sleep and no control of my actions during my sleep whatsoever. My boyfriend doesn't complain and he seems to take it lightly because he can make fun of it but sometimes it's so intense that he would tell me in the morning time he couldn't sleep the night before and that he was afraid I couldn't be able to breath at all.

It's nice to know he cares, yet I sometimes wonder does it really turn a guy off when his girlfriend snores more than he does? I don't feel self conscious around him, but only at night do I start to worry about snoring. Is it really a problem to most men?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it is often occurring in both sexes, especially with age - because the sinus cavity loses its flexibility, so snoring gets louder!

There are patches and medical & homeopathic remedies for this, so you're not lost.

However, this issue can also be aided on an emotional level by partner - he/she is actually comfortable enough with you to sleep the night away by your side. Personally, I find the snoring lulls me to sleep when I think about it.

P.S. Matching your inhale-exhale pattern to his can help you fall asleep and make the snoring appear less disruptive, because you are fooling your body into thinking you're the one making the noise.

  7. QUESTION:
Who should sleep in the spare room when the husband snores?
My husband snores, but snores more when he drinks. On those nights I get no sleep, or painfully little.

He is happy for me to go sleep in the spare room when he has been drinking.

To my mind, a real gentleman would offer to go sleep in the spare room when he knows his snoring is keeping his wife out of her much needed sleep.

He does not offer. If I insist that he sleeps in another room he sometimes does and other times he just refuses to and first fights with me about it and he never offers of his own accord.

What is your opinion, who should be allowed to stay in their own room? He pays the bond, so financially it is his house, but I am his wife and I run the household when he is home and when he works away.

He cannot stop drinking, it is a disease and he doesn't realise he is drunk when he drinks all day and all night. He thinks he is sober even when I tell him he is not.

Who should sleep in the spare room when the husband snores?

    • ANSWER:
He doesn't snore on purpose, if you can't take it, you go to the other room.

  8. QUESTION:
Do you sleep in the same bed as your spouse?
I just read a shocking survey that found that 39% of couples don't sleep in the same bed for reasons such as more comfortable, snoring, no sexual relations. And these couples keep this a secret from friends and family members. That's weird! Do you sleep in the same bed?

    • ANSWER:
My wife and I have been married for more than 20 years. We sleep in the same bed, despite her snoring like a trooper!
It has gotten to the stage in our marriage that we have tried EVERYTHING sexually that we could think off. Even to the point that we can have sex when both of us are asleep.
Recently, she has been away at weekends, visiting her very ill mother.
I cannot sleep - because of the lack of her snoring and the familiarity and comfort of sharing each other's love and body warmth - even if we are asleep.
I guess that is what you call 'True Love'!

  9. QUESTION:
Hypothyroidism... Am I crazy? Or convince the doctor?!?
Since around age 17-18 I have begun experiences very profound changes in my body; the most noticeable of which being weight gain and decreased sex drive. I think what tipped me off to something being "wrong" was that I just don't feel right over all, I'm convinced something is the matter and that I'm not depressed without cause or getting fat from over-eating. I have researched many medical conditions and many of my symptoms keep coming back to Hypothyroidism...

I have gone for blood tests from the walk-in clinic which found nothing to indicate hypothyroidism- I went to the walk-in because my family doctor more or less thinks I'm nuts... Now, I know for most people a negative result is a negative result... But I have researched more thoroughly and found that blood tests often miss Hypothyroidism because while the blood might be A-Okay, on a cellular level things still aren't working out.

MY REAL QUESTION: How do I convince my doctor to allow more tests? He thinks I'm nuts already- but I'm convinced this is the problem and he's just not looking for obscure options because he doesn't think there is anything wrong. It's my body, and I KNOW there is something wrong! It might not be Hypothyroidism (I’m not a doctor, after all!) but this is to me the most likely culprit for ALL of the symptoms I’ve been having.

I do also live in Canada, so the “It’s your health and your money” adage doesn’t really apply- sure it’s my tax dollars... But my Doctor is a crunchy old Jewish man who practises in a Mennonite town where sex doesn’t happen before age thirty and condoms happen to other people.

    EXTRA:

These are some of the symptoms I have complained about over the last 4+ years, and are continuing... (Taken from a Hypothyroidism check-list)

X I am gaining weight inappropriately
X I'm unable to lose weight with diet/exercise (NOTE: Some weight, but not what is expected)
_____ I am constipated, sometimes severely

_____ I have developed carpal-tunnel syndrome, or it's getting worse

    X I feel depressed
    X I feel restless
    X My moods change easily
X I have feelings of worthlessness
    X I have difficulty concentrating
X My hair is falling out
X I have more feelings of sadness
X I seem to be losing interest in normal daily activities
    X I'm more forgetful lately
    X I can't seem to remember things
X I have no sex drive
_____ I am getting more frequent infections
    _____ I'm snoring more
    _____ I have/may have sleep apnea
_____ I feel shortness of breath and tightness in the chest
X I feel the need to yawn to get oxygen
X My eyes feel gritty and dry
X My eyes feel sensitive to light
X My eyes get jumpy/tics in eyes
_____ I feel dizzy or have vertigo
    X I have regular headaches
X I have strange feelings in neck or throat
X I have tinnitus (ringing in ears)
_____ I get recurrent sinus infections
    _____ I have vertigo
    X I feel some lightheadedness
_____ I have severe menstrual cramps

    • ANSWER:
'which found nothing to indicate hypothyroidism' Are you sure? Most do not even know the correct 'normal' range.

You need testing for ANTIBODIES as well as TSH. TSH ‘norm’ should be .3 – 3 (w/ most feeling best at < 2) but would not matter if antibodies are present. Indicative of Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroiditis…main cause of HypOthyroid & is worse (...OR Graves Disease - HypERthyroid).

WARNING: Doctors seem not to want to find thyroid disease. You may have to go to more than one doctor before you get the right tests, interpretation, and treatment. Best wishes.

  10. QUESTION:
Problems breathing through nose, head pressure and headaches?
    I've been noticing lately that:
    - My nose is always blocked, no matter how many times I clean it. I can barely breathe through it.
    - I've been snoring more-so lately (I've always snored)
    - My voice is very nasally lately. I've noticed it gets worse while I'm at skating. (Maybe it's the cold air?)
    - Whenever I bend down, I get headaches. My headache seems to increase the more times I bend down/the longer I do so.
    - If I lay on my stomach, my head practically feels as if it's going to explode. I get a huuuge headache.
    - Lately I've also been having increased headaches-so much to the point that 800mg of Advil doesn't reduce the headache at all.
    - It feels weird when I swallow (the best way to explain it is, it feels as though I have the flu all the time). It's not a sore throat, but it's that weird mucus feeling.
    - Every morning when I wake up it feels as though I don't have enough sleep, even when I get 8 hours of sleep. I also often wake up during the night.
    - I've noticed an increased thirst too.

I know this is a lot, but I hate going to the doctor (I believe I have some sort of authority problem) so I figured I'd put this out here and see if anybody had some suggestions.

    Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Sounds like a sinus infection. You probably need antibiotics, which means a trip to the doctor.

  11. QUESTION:
I have a couple of questions....?
First of all... My son snores.. is this normal? .. He is congested a lot and snores more than usual. His 4 month check up is coming up, and I am going to ask his doctor, but I want to be reassured?

Secondly.. If you stopped breastfeeding.. for some reason and you no longer have milk, is there a way you can cause the breast milk to produce or is it completely gone?
A couple of weeks ago.. I started leaking again, which I found weird.. but I was braless around my house and I started leaking. So it was strange.. and I was hoping to breast feed again, if possible.

    • ANSWER:
I don't know about the congestion, but my baby is 13 weeks and he snores so loud!!
I've been told that snoring is very normal. They make all kinds of weird noises in their sleep.

It is possible to start producing milk again,

  12. QUESTION:
My Shih tzu is 1.5 yr is sick and I don't know what to do?
My Shih tzu was full of life this morning after we went for a walk, we played a little bit and while he slid acrossthe hardwood floors chasing after a ball he hit his body against the wall. He seemed fine immediatley after and then I realized later he was sleeping way too much, he got up and was limping a lot. I took him out to go for a walk to go potty and seemed fine, no limping. He didn't want to eat, drink and now he is having a hard time breathing like he has a cold. I gave him his meaty treats he loves and thankfully he ate them, and had to feed him water with a bottle. He is snorting and snoring more than usual, he is stuffed up, and really lethargic. I don't know what to do, if its a common cold dogs get or what. I will be taking him to the vet tomorrow, but should I take him tonight?

    • ANSWER:
I have two small dogs as well; and with such small breeds hitting the wall could have really done some damage. Due to him being really out of it I would take him to the vet tonight.
Don't wait take him now and hopefully whatever it is will not be serious. I will pray for him - Good Luck.

  13. QUESTION:
    Is snoring driving you crazy?
I had a horrible problem with snoring, so I tried this Snore No More program, and I began noticing great results right away! I thought I should share this with other people because this program really helped me. It'll help anyone with a snoring problem.

    Try it here.. http://www.productsupplycenter.com/web27179/

    • ANSWER:
I tried nasal strips and it helped me a lot.

One of the natural methods of curing snoring problems is with the help of nasal strips or nasal dilators. The aim here as in other snoring remedies is to broaden the air passage from the nasal valve to the throat and the lungs. This task can be effectively done by using a nasal strip.

The nasal strips permit better airflow for the person wearing it. It ascertains good breathing pattern, right from the lungs to the nasal passages of the user. Nasal strips can be kept overnight. You can also wear them on their noses to help the proper working of their respiration system by keeping their airway open in the whole game. Moreover nasal strips don’t have any adverse effects or any internal impact.

  14. QUESTION:
Am I the only one who feels less interested in the Scouting Combine this year?
It seems to become more and more of a snore fest every year. I never thought I'd say that football is no longer my first sport love.

Poll: Who will be the first five picks in the draft this April? In no particular order. You can order them for added bonus.

    • ANSWER:
I agree. I am not even paying much attention to this year's prospects.

When the draft is close, I'll just pick up one of those magazines with all the player projections in them, then take it from there.

I love NFL football, but the combine is definitely the snore fest you say it is.

  18. QUESTION:
Going off the 2nd.pill of morphine was it to soon?
Keeping close watch, more snoring stile sleeping a lot not much activity but ask of pain returning he says no pain at this time, how much longer till i take him off the other pill last night was first and one out burst of nerves on grandchild but we are bearing with it. Is the nerves a danger to be around at this time.

    • ANSWER:
It totally depends on how long the patient has been on the Morphine. I am a chronic pain sufferer and I take Demerol. Both are Schedule 2 medications. I have also taken Morphine pills.

A patient MUST be weaned off of these medications especially if he has been on them a long time. Withdrawl from these type of medications can indeed cause emotional outbursts. The body definitely builds a physical dependency. The doctor must monitor this. It is serious.

This is some information on Morphine withdrawl taken from this site : http://www.drugs.com/morphine.html

You may have withdrawal symptoms when you stop using this medication after using it over a long period of time. Withdrawal symptoms include feeling restless or irritable, anxiety, trouble sleeping (insomnia), runny nose, water eyes, yawning, chills, increased sweating, blurred vision, muscle or joint pain, weakness, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, or loss of appetite. Do not stop using morphine suddenly without first talking to your doctor. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely.

  19. QUESTION:
Pet owners, your opinion on this news story, please?
Here's the link to the news story:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080822/hl_afp/healthchildrensnoringpetsoffbeat;_ylt=As7NwRBri0bVlQQdIsqAUEOs0NUE

Basically the story states that children who grow up with pets are more likely to snore as adults. Also children who grow up in large families.

They are stating this is serrious, since people who snore have more problems with increased the risk of cardiovascular disease, such as heart attacks or a stroke, and can even result in premature death.

(As my own personal side note, it is also proven that pets do all kinds of wonderful things for people, like lower heart rate/blood pressure, calm them, PROLONG their lives, teach children responsibility, so-on-and-so-forth.)

Do you put any credibility to this latest study on pets/snoring link?

Or do you think it's like a study coming out and stating "Study finds people who eat use more toilet paper than people who do not eat?"

I grew up (from birth) with all kinds of extotics. Raccoon, cheetas, rabbits, turttles, cats, dog, kinkajous (sp?), lots of little fuzzy creatures you would find in a children's zoo. My mother worked at Lincoln Park Zoo when I was born.

    I snore....when I have a cold/broncitis/pnuemonia. Otherwise no.

I'd love to hear the comments of other pet owners about this story.

    • ANSWER:
This is just another article designed to "jerk our collective chains". The article does not base it's case for child-pets=adult snoring on an actual scientific study... but instead, the article vaguely refers to a subjectively run "random survey" (which is not a scientific "study" at all). My my, I'd say that reporting is more than likely pretty lame these days. So often it seems to me that the average Joe journalists are getting pretty desperate for distracting things to write about, they put "spin" on any subject they imagine will get our attention. Too bad this kind of twisted truth article will be read by some mom or dad who, as a result, won't let their child have a pet for fear the kid will snore latter on... most of us are not that gullible, unfortunately there are always the few that believe what they read.

  21. QUESTION:
    Cat acting dazed, and grunting?
I'm hoping there's a vet or vetinary nurse in the house that has seen this before.

My cat has been having some unusual symptoms. I brought him to the vet (by which point the cat was acting fine again) and he was stumped, but gave him a complete check over and said he seemed absolutely fine, good weight, good health, looked perfect... (I felt like an over-protective mommy at the time) ... but the cat has had a recurrence of the same symptoms since taking him home.

    Symptoms as follows:

Cat sits with his paws tucked under him. No movement. Seems almost 'stoned', unresponsive, like he's having some kind of turn.
Pupils huge... doesn't seem to see you, like they're not focused on anything. (have tested this by holding chicken under his nose- no response, just stares at it.)
Breathing is extremely shallow, and erratic... sometimes stopping for a few seconds, and then rapid but still erratic.
At the very end of the exhale, he makes a weird grunting/squeaking noise, almost like a cat snore but more grunty like his airways aren't clear (but they are, the vet checked)

And then he slowly comes to; I sat with him while he was having his turn and you can TELL when he's snapping out of it- his pupils start focusing again, and get smaller, and then he perks up a bit but looks tired for a while, and stays sitting, but more responsive... and 10 minutes later he's springing about and wrapping himself around my ankles like usual.

All in all, the unresponsive stage with the strange breathing lasted about 15 minutes or so...
He's only 3 and is a regular to the vet for check ups and boosters etc. No other health problems.

The first time he did it, he walked slowly, half swaying and staggering across the room, and then sat down again. I flew to the vet, as you'd imagine, thinking it was poison or something, as he'd been outside. The only thing the vet could come up with was perhaps he had bumped his head jumping off a wall... and that didn't ring true to me. He's agile, and the only wall he coulda fallen off was within eye and earshot of me, so I would have seen it happen.

And now that he has had the same symptoms a couple of weeks later, i'm convined its something more than that... but i want to go into the vet this week with a list of suggestions for him to look into.

Was wondering if it could be some kind of asthma?

All suggestion welcome, but hoping someone recognises these symptoms.
You didn't read the whole thing did you Anushka?
Thanks for the suggestions DemonicB... definitely not catnip though. He's had the symptoms tonight and he's not been outside for 2 weeks!
(and oddly, he has never cared much for catnip)

I did some google searching on cat seizures before and they all seemed to talk about cats thrashing about, or "Running" while lying down... whereas his entire episode was just what i've described... could that still be a seizure?

He was sitting beside me this evening and it just came on suddenly- I heard the grunting right away. :-( Prior to that he had just been purring and grooming normally...
no, he definitely wasn't at someone's mary j plants... thats for sure! LOL (London in November isn't a good climate i wouldn't think!)
The vet did take all the symptoms seriously but was just stumped. (he didn't recognise the grunting and didnt see any evidence of problems)

Good idea with the camera, but... i've no idea when the cat might do it again... and knowing me, i won't be calm enough to think of the camera when he does!! :-)
ROBERTA... um, your answer confuses me? Am I reading it wrong? My cat's problem has nothing to do with peeing. He pees normally in his litter box.

    • ANSWER:
Did the "complete checkover" include a blood test? You should have one run, if it hasn't already been done.

I have a diabetic cat, and sometimes his food / insulin gets "out of whack" and he CRASHES......this means that he is completely unresponsive, dilated eyes, doesn't respond TO ANYTHING AT ALL. When this happened the first time, it scared me to death! I called my vet ( SUPERBOWL SUNDAY !!! ) and he told me to give him 5cc of Karo.......then 10 cc water. This "brought him back" and he was okay. We tested him again, and readjusted his insulin. Since then, when he starts to stagger, or look "discombobulated", I get some canned MEAT into him ASAP, and keep him from going "down" any further. This happens only once in a while, now, but it can certainly put a cramp in anything ELSE I might want to do........I stay home most of the time, now, to make sure he gets fed every couple of hours........He's been on insulin twice a day since August of 2006, but except for the occasional "out of it" episodes, he's fine......gained his weight back, etc.

So.......the reason for this story........your cat just seems to have some of the symptoms of Diabetes.......SMELL HIS BREATH......Does it smell like acetone ( nail polish remover )? This is another "sign" of diabetes ( high blood sugar ), so a blood test would probably give you some answers to whatever his problem IS..........diabetes, thyroid, etc. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

Hope I didn't scare you to death.......but, it's always better to be safe, than sorry.......and, since you ( AND I ) are "overprotective moms", I thought I'd tell you what had happened to my cat......and that if I hadn't gotten the blood test, I might not still have him.........Good luck with your kitty....

  24. QUESTION:
Why is my '95 dodge ram 1500 stalling out?
Rear wheel, 3.9L tranny, small block V8

I pulled the truck into my driveway because I wasn't about to drive it in its condition. It seemed like the truck wasn't putting any power to the wheels. I discovered this after I suddenly couldn't go over ~50MPH on the expressway, and after every red light it took me about 10 seconds to go from 0 to 30. I barely limped it back home.

So, I let it sit in the driveway, on a flat even surface, and talked to the guy I bought the truck from. He told me it'd be alright to add a bit of tranny fluid if it was low, that could be it, he says. So I add about a quart, get it to the safe mark on the dipstick. Still no dice. I said "Forget it, it's about to be winter, I don't feel like driving a rear wheel in the snow". Now, I have to get the truck out of the driveway.

The other day, I start it up, try to stick it in reverse, and tap the pedal. Stall. Duh. I change the oil, empty/refill the coolant reservoir (Sediment >.<), and let it warm up for about 20 minutes. Now, I'm getting heat inside the cab, so I know it has nothing to do with the radiator. Exhaust smells fine (Or, as fine as it would smell without a muffler), but the engine is making a funny clicking noise, almost like the fan's clicking against the top of a plant.

Now, normally this thing idle rev's at about 1000. Idling, it was barely hitting 750. In reverse, I noticed the rev's slid down to about 500.

So I stick it in reverse again, and I tap the gas. Dead in the water. Start 'er up again, and slam on the gas. Now, here's the weird part: Instead of the normal growl you'd get from an engine when it's revving up, I get a sound like a dog snore, except more prolonged and sputter-y.

What the hell should I do? Is this the transmission telling me it died? I mean, I got a line on a used one, but I'm not gonna be arsed to change it up unless I know that's the problem.

Maybe a fouled plug, cause it's been sitting so long in the cold? Condensation/crystallization in the gas tank?

    Ideas, anyone?
Check engine light isn't on, when it stalls out the oil light under the speedo comes on. Alternator's fine, it's pumpin' juice to the battery. The battery's fine, it was brand new before I let it sit. Plugs? Not so sure. Fuel filter? Not so sure.
Yeah, I cleaned out the throttle body and drained the tank, threw some new gas in, etc... Well, she stopped stalling, but the tranny's definitely slipping. Went from first to 2nd, no change in the sound. Sucks. Well, since I don't know how to mark the question as resolved, thanks y'all.
    Oh yeah, hardcore?

Fuck you. Right in the ear.

what could be the matter with my baby?
he has a lot of gas to begin with, i was wondering if it was from me having cows milk...however, here is all the goings on...

diarea, off and on, never lasting 24 hours a time, stools usually green, sometimes dark, others lighter...going more frequently with more discomfort

slowly loosing his voice for last three days, started on a day he was not crying much

seems to cry for no reason? maybe pain...not loud, just passive crying

sometimes wants to eat but then keeps coming off nipple

    no fever

either no spit up...or lots...used to be less extreme

    snores...possibly more than usual

i've had no cows milk since three days or so...and even that was just a little cheese...his imunization is tomorrow, so i will talk to doctor but wanted opinions, possibly more than one problem?

Gosh, seems like some kind of congestion or something as well as a little tummy discomfort.

I honestly can only advise you to talk to your doctor about it. Make sure you ask as many questions as you want until you know exactly what to do. I know sometimes my doctor is in a rush, and I keep her there for as long as I need her to until I feel comfortable and understand everything.

How long can or should my three years old continue to taking Singulair?
My three years old son has been prescribed to taking Singulair to treat his allergies and has been taking it for the last 6 weeks. He has improved so much. His sleep became normal. no more snoring. no more waking up in cranky mood. His appetite has improved. After six weeks we've stopped the medication. but the symptoms are coming back gradually. My question is... is it ok. to keep on taking this medication? How long should he continue to having it? when will I know when to stop?
Note during the last six weeks, no signs of any side effects had appeared.

    • ANSWER:
He should keep taking it as long as he needs it, or switch to another long-term controller medicine.

His asthma is not going to go away or be treated by medication after you stop that medication. If you stop one stronger medication you still need to move down to another one.

  29. QUESTION:
Should we have tonsils removed with adenoids in our 3 year old son?
ENT specialist wants to remove the tonsils in our 3 year old son when he removes his adenoids in a couple of weeks. Our son's problem is definitely more with his adenoids: snoring issues, sleep apnea, etc. Should we go ahead with his recommendation to remove his tonsils as well even though he has had little or no problems with tonsilitis at all? (Other medical issues: slight asthmatic, year round allergies)

    • ANSWER:
Yes you should.. my daughter use to get sick constantly and had trouble sleeping at night which would cause her to wake up with headaches due to her adenoids causing sleep apnea. It was recommended that her tonsils as well as adenoids were to be removed. After her tonsils were removed the doctor showed them to my husband and I .. they were huge with scar tissue from infections etc.. her adenoids were removed as well and she has not gotten throat infections since. Her health has been 100 percent.. eating habits are lovely and I am glad we made the choice to do it.. she feels so much better and looks so much better no more throat infections and nasal problems. She sleeps through the night too which is a great thing.

If it is recommended you have them removed do so and have the doc show you your child's tonsils so you can see the condition of it which will ease your mind. Your child will feel and look so much better with the procedure.. you will see how he will get sick less and sleep much better.

Edit: Children heal up faster after those have been removed it is recommended you give them soft foods to eat and follow up with the doctor. Any adult getting their tonsils removed have a higher chance of having extreme issues since their bodies cannot heal faster so it is best it is done when they are a child. Children will bounce back in about a week.

  30. QUESTION:
Possible Esphogeal cancer? sorry this is really long?
I don't know if anyone would be able to help me with this, but figured its worth a shot. About 5 years ago my mom went septic and ended up on life support for 2 weeks and lost both of her legs, since then she has been very weak and stays in bed except for her monthly doc visits. She also used to be an acholic and still smokes about a pack and a half a day, just in case that helps. About 4 months ago she developed pain in her throat and it has continued just getting worse since. She downs bottles and anti-acids and for the past month or so been unable to eat hard foods she pretty much can only swallow liquds and soggy pasta, even that sometimes seems to get stuck. She tells me she just swallowd something large awhile ago and scrapeed it, i think she doesn't want to scare me yet I am very aware of what is going on. She did tell my father that she feels like there is a lump inside her thorat and that it has gotten bigger, but she refuses to go see a doctor or tell the doc's about the problem and lies about it anytime it is brought up. For the past few weeks she has developed drenching sweats, nothing I've ever seen before, with no fever, she snores much more loudly then she used to, she also seems much weaker and sleeping more, she occasionaly coughs and probably every other day gets really bad hiccups and has been very depressed. She is worried about cancer and I think thats what keeps her from seeing a doctor about it. Right now there is no way of convincing her to get it checked and for me not knowing what is going on is killing me. I have looked up the symptoms and everything seems to say cancer but I know these websites always give you the worst case scenario. I know it sounds horrible its just miserable watching her suffer and she is in so much pain that I almost feel she's giving up. Any Ideas?? I am 20 and ready to hear any answer, just want some ideas at what I am looking at.. I just have a gut instinct that something is going to happen soon so maybe somebody has seen these symtoms before.
Her throat does seem swollen but she won't let anyone look inside. We have tried every means of getting her to see someone she just won't and if you push it to much she'll start acting like nothing is wrong yet you can see very obviously there is. Also she has had an increase in bone pains if that means anything??

    • ANSWER:
Is there a visible lump on her throat? Your Mom should have it checked out by an Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor ASAP. It may or may not be something to be concerned with, but it should be looked at by a doctor. I was diagnosed w/ stage 4 cancer of the hypo pharynx. (it was where the esophagus meets the throat). I'm no Doctor, but I am a survivor! GET HER TO A DOCTOR TOMORROW!

  31. QUESTION:
Is it possible to have asthma diagnosed even when you're not in the midst of having bad breathing difficulty?
I'm 47, and no one in my family's ever been affected by respiratory illness, so it's something I've never thought about. A little over two months ago, I began having some symptoms that at the time I thought were related to a new medication. I was getting very winded with very little exertion, and I began to notice a strange sound almost like snoring, but more raspy when I would get tired. Also, when lying down, my breathing would sound weird at times. Then, I got a cough, not frequent, but bad enough for people to comment on it. Now, I feel at times like I can't breathe deeply. I'm really tired. My son was sick last months with chest pain, an uncontrollable cough, and what they determined in the ER to be a viral bronchitis when it seemed to be getting no better after two weeks. I'm now 99%sure that we have toxic mold in our home, which I'm tending to ASAP, and very worried about the effect it's had on my family. I want to get tested for asthma, but at this moment I don't feel very bad.

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it is definitely possible to be diagnosed with asthma despite lack of symptoms. Most physicians will generally begin with a pulmonary function test (PFT). A PFT consists of several breathing maneuvers through a mouthpiece, generally while seated in an enclosed booth. Albuterol is often given to assess the ability of the airways to dilate (bronchodilation). If your PFT appears obstructive and has a positive bronchodilator response, you may have asthma.

However, it is possible to have a "false negative" PFT, especially if you're feeling well during the time of the test. In that case, your doctor may request a bronchoprovocation test, where you breathe increasing amounts of an irritant to see if it will cause your airways to constrict.

While molds can trigger asthma symptoms, other common triggers can include pet dander (especially cats), dust mites, pollen, smoking, and cold air. You might be able to reduce your symptoms by removing possible triggers from your home.

    13/10/08…

    Jacqueline Bradford~

I thought my heart would jump out of my chest. He approached, I could feel the bloodcurdling warmth and hear the life-sucking steps approach. Nearer. Even closer. It all happened so quickly that I had no time to think, I had not time to do anything, I couldn’t see him, his face. I couldn’t find the strength in me to lift up my head and face him. My eyes, desperate in seeking for some refuge, batted and shot from one place to another.
He quickly made his way to me, he knew exactly what I was doing right there. I caught the shadow and the horrible presence of a black ghost upon me. He stopped for some, everlasting in my head, seconds and then reached out…..

I felt a sort of a mixture of shame, embarrassment and regret. I started to blush. I said “I’m sorry sir, please sir, don’t put me a zero, please, give me one last chance. I promise I will-”
“quit it, just hand me in the paper, its been the last warning I gave you 5 minutes ago. You got a zero. Now, hand me the paper please.”
“But sir…No..please! I will-” I tried begging, holding my paper away.
“I think I told you what to do.” He said with an eternal solemn face and patiently waited there.
It was useless, there was no way to do ANYTHING “illegal” (as he called it) in his class. He was one of those always-follow-the-rules-no-matter-what teachers. And that fact made a lot of students hate him. But unlike many, I liked him, although he really did make me feel like inventing some time-stopping machine and punching right in face sometimes. This current exam situation was one of those.

“I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it……” - I could hear the loud and extremely annoying alarm set off. “Ugh, after 2 minutes it will automatically snooze, im NOT getting up.” I thought to myself and dozed off.
    SNORE…
“I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it……” - “Oh craaaaaaaaap, not again…it had to be 10 minutes of sleep I had to get …not 10 seconds…no….just 10 more minutes…”
    SNORE…
    SNORE…
    SNORE…
    SNORE…
….“I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it……” - “AAAaaaaaah, got up, looked at the time - “7:50” …”
“Oh….damn……”- I whispered in my head with a really tired expression.
wondering…8:50..it means I am…(doing the math) I’m like, factually late already!?
    “7:50?!”
Looking back at the alarm, eyes rapidly widen and a swearing word comes out loud and clear.
    “FUCK!”
As quickly as possible I just push all my stuff into my bag and drop it next to my black, old and all in drawings and math calculations table. Rush to my wardrobe and grab some random jeans with some shirt. “Oh great, its Tweety on it” I am thinking, as I just pull it over myself and jump into my jeans. I run towards the door and practically jump into my converse. Clutch my keys off the holder and open the door, with the first step realizing that I left my bag all the way back in my room. I run in right with my sneakers on, thinking of how my mum would kick my bottom right now, but she cant see… I grin to myself as I’m already out the door closing it from the outside. Carefully listening for the clicking sound to tell me when to stop turning.
It’s scorching outside and I start running. I later realize running was a mistake, because I’m barely walking, out of breath.

    8:30 SHARP
I reached school and stared at the guard in his little, brick-made, maroon building with the corner of my eye, as if letting him know that I can see him and I signalize him to open the gates for me. He presses his tiny, red button (well I don’t really know the color, but I like thinking of it being red) and I can hear the sharp clack indicating that the gates aren’t locked and I can open them.
I enter and give the guard a nod.
As I further walk, I’m staring at my green converse move; stepping on the school ground; stairs; kicking the door. Oops “good morning, sir” …
I make my way up to the class and as I do I realize that nobody is in the corridors which signals me I’m late… sad… all my running was for nothing?
I reach the door of my beloved math class, knock knock. “hello sir, may I come in?”
“yeah get in here Miss Bradford …”
I shuffle myself into the class and drop my khaki, military-patterned bag on the last desk and sagged myself behind. The class stopped staring and I felt much better.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrng rang the bell and as the class, like 1 big whole mass, moved out of the class with chattering and various sounds coming from them, and gradually disappearing as the door closed. I went up to teacher and asked about my exam. “sir, is there anyway to increase my mark, not to fail because of that zero?”
“well, you can do a project and get a five in the next exam. I see no other ways my Bradford.”
“well, could you assign me a project then?”
    “oh sure.”
    “thanks sir!” I said with

You used "approached" and then "approach" in the same sentence. Try not to be repetitive. "There was no way to do anything" Sounds awkward, cleaning up sentences like that will improve the flow. Watch your tenses and the whole alarm sequence, just looked messy to me. You're not an awful writer by any means, this just needs some editing.

I'm a light sleeper & any exposure to sound or light prevents me from sleeping or worse wakes me up .No matter how tired I'm , trying to sleep again is an ordeal. My husband who works long hours sleeps off the moment he hits the bed and begins to snore .Strangely the more tired he is the louder the snores & sometimes I fear it would just break the walls of the room. It's extremely upsetting to sleep in the same room as him as is the protocol in my home. I've tried all forms of ear plugs & other ways to subdue the sounds but I only wake up with a sprained neck & a lot of body pain in the morning. As a result of reduced sleep I feel very enervated & listless all day long with the added trouble of mood swings. There is no nastral problem that my husband suffers from or any other deformity that could explain his excessive snores. Please suggest a way which can prevent him from snoring & help me attain peaceful sleep.Your advise shall greatly help as lately its causing a lot of tension.

I DON'T DRINK NO MORE A Slow Blues Shuffle?
I spent most of my life drunk, trying to get a drink or doing time for stuff that happened when drunk. That was then, I haven't had a drink, or anything else, since 12/5/95! The drink is a metaphor for all the other stuff I did in my mispent youth, middle age, etc.!

    I DON'T DRINK NO MORE

    By WILLY SENKIWSKY 11/24/04 9:30 p.m. G-Harp, Key of D, Slow Shuffle

I started drinking as a child
Uncles gin and Camels was my style
I slept it off then; was too young to go wild!

    I drank to get incoherent
The older I got wilder I went
I'd go to a bar with money leave without a cent!
(Spoken: And wonder who left the dents? In my car, head, etc.?)

    (Chorus)
To me I'll just have one drink today
Is like sayin, I'll only stick it in half way!
When I start drinkin ain't no way to stop
Which is how I got to know a few cops!

I got tired of being on the outside of open doors
And being wounded though I never been to war
All of this and more is why I don't drink no more!

I now know that I can't take even one sip
Some say you can't teach a dog new tricks
I'll bet ya the dog never woke up with a fat lip!
(Spoken: And not able to remember who or why it's there!)

    (Chorus)
To me I'll just have one drink today
Is like sayin, I'll only stick it in half way!
When I start drinkin ain't no way to stop
Which is how I got to know a few cops!

At a bar I'd tell the tender; shut up and pour
I need a drink to relax just makes me snore
I drank to get drunk; but I don't drink no more!!!...

  37. QUESTION:
How to help my dad with his eating problem?
For years now my dad has been up and down with his weight. When he decides to loose it - that's exactly what he does. He is always healthy and exercises often. However, every time he looses motivation, he puts on more and more weight. He is currently the heaviest he has ever been and the doctor has told him his cholesterol is very high. If he doesn't loose the weight himself he will need to be prescribed pills to take everyday for the rest of his life.
What the doctor says has made no difference. His problem lies with bread, actually. Its almost out of sheer habit he will go to the bread bin and eat 2 or 3 slices every couple of hours or so. Some days he can eat up to 3/4s of a loaf a day or even a whole french bread stick (as well as his 3 meals a day and other unhealthy snacks!)
Me and my mum have tried to help him but it is no use anymore. It is putting a strain on their marriage as the fatter he gets, the more he snores and keeps my mum awake. I am very healthy and exercise a lot... the whole reason I got into running a year ago was to encourage him to come out more.
He is a really great man and its upsets us to get so angry at him but its very frustrating sometimes. How can we help him? We have to be careful as he can get defencive and angry when we bring it up (or just completely ignore us.)
    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thank you.

to whether or not they could of sleep apnea or is it jsut if you snore its a symptom of it. My husband is an EXTREMELY loud snorerer just wondering if that makes it more of a gauruntee he probably has sleep apnea or does the volumne have no relation to it.

    • ANSWER:
Usually the loudness of the snoring is relative to the weight issue. The heavier a person is, the more loudly they will snore.

The apnea issue is not related to the loudness issue. By changing his diet, he can change the snoring issue. The more he gets into his ideal weight, the snoring issue will decrease greatly and may even be gone as in many cases.

I suggest you purchase a book called, "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, pH.D. This is a great book that explains why Americans are gaining weight and not able to lose it. It gives good advice on how to lose the weight.

  39. QUESTION:
My Dog Always Seems To Wheeze & Snore?
Okay so i have a 5 year old beagle i have had since she was only 6 weeks old.Her mother had died so the people we got her from gave her milk. But anyways very often she will tend to snore and some nights about 2 times a week or so she will wake up wheezing. We have had no problems to where we will have to take her to the vet or anything but we just usually give her water and some times she will drinks and some times she won't.The only problem we pretty much has happened is that a Mexican that we left(my mom was dating) fed her hot & spicy foods and while he was gone we hurried to take her back.Joplin ( the name of the beagle) is a very good and loving dog and don't say she is old because she isn't.She has no other problems besides this i mean she loves to get out and play and everything. What could be the problem though?

By the way yes we do have 2 people that tend to smoke around her and we try to keep her away from it as much as we can. Also she hardly ever drinks water when she gets back from hunting.Like she loves to run around in the woods near our house for about 3-4 hours or more or less. But when she gets back she will be panting a lot but hardly drinks any water? She usually just goes to bed and rests.

    Thanks for your help!

Would this deter you from getting your kid a pet?
Kids With Pets Grow Up To Be Snorers: Study

PARIS (AFP) - Thinking of buying a pet for junior? Consider this: children who grow up in the company of cats, dogs or other furry friends are more likely to become snoring adults, according to a new study.

Snoring is no laughing matter. Besides sleep deprivation -- for the snorer, and especially for anyone within earshot -- snoring is linked to more serious consequences.

It increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, such as heart attacks or a stroke, and can even result in premature death.

Earlier research has shown that a tendency to snore can be established early in life.

To find out why, researchers led by Karl Franklin of University Hospital in Umea, Sweden asked more than 15,500 randomly selected people in Nordic countries about their early childhood, and their snoring habits.

Just over 18 percent of the respondents fit the profile of habitual snorers, defined as "loud and disturbing snoring at least three nights in a week."

The childhood "risk" factors most associated with this group were exposure to animals, early respiratory or ear infections, and -- oddly enough -- living in a large family.

Newborns in contact with dogs, they found, were among the most likely to become nocturnal noisemakers when they grew up.

"These factors may enhance inflammatory processes and thereby alter upper airway anatomy early in life, causing an increased susceptibility for adult snoring," the study conjectured.

The harsh, occasionally nerve-wracking sounds associated with snoring are caused the vibrating of the soft palate.

The study was published in the Britain-based BioMed Central's journal Resipiratory Research.

  44. QUESTION:
    Any opinions on this poem?
On the Failure of a Poet
    by Charles Bukowski

    pinch-penny light, rifted, pitied light
like the drunken face of God in the sand,
    smiling forgiveness...some old candle burning
    in some old house
on the last night of earth,
    house burning,
    earth burning
    in tears and poetry
    scorching the filthy stars.

    stalwart death, clean-up batter,
picking his nose and his victims,
    old buddy, chewing stale bread,
    always successful
as I listen to the crickets
    while the master poets snore,
as I bring up the walls of China
    in my poor brain
and walk them in wet dark
    dropping lilies into ponds
    calling to the dead
    who have crawled away to hide;
    while the master poets snore
    I pay homage to bombs
the face of Baune turning to blood
with only the eyes holding still to the edge of sunset,
    not wanting to go down...

now I cling evilly to these walls
    and stand before a mirror
    examining my content:
    I represent rent, cheap labor
    and nickle-coffee nights,
    dancer in the splendid hock-shops
and rooms that close across the throat
as words fly from my small white hands
    as the master poets snore...

are their birds more silken than mine?
perhaps, perhaps...it is so hard to deny!
    what trick hikes their wings?
I tell you, no sparrow is more carved or
    craving than mine...and yet
    across my window
    no voice answers, nothing responds;
I hear only the electric voices,
the shuffling of plates and lives,
    on and on
    these same simple dead sounds
enfolding me in their unchallenged weight,
    while the master poets sing
    and are praised,
    and even fools love and are loved;
    faith burns away:
I am a beggar hoisting lulled
    sacked thoughts,
knowing I have the bolt to throw
but the catcher's out of sight.

What can I do about my wife smoking around my child?
I have shared custody with my wife and she is a chimney that has no regard for who her 2nd hand smoke is affecting. She smokes in the house and in vehicles with our child in close proximity.

I notice these symptoms in our daughter:
    Snoring
Shortness of breath when exerting herself for moderate periods
Becoming exhausted much more quickly than her peers
The occasional cough for no reason.

Is there some sort of legal action that I can take to obligate her mother to stop smoking around our child?

    • ANSWER:
      oh god i wish,
i know here in Pennsylvania they are passing a law that it is illegal to smoke in a car with children in it.
its so sad that people are selfish enough to have their childrens health deteriorate because of a fruitless habit.
i hope she stops for your daughters sake.

  47. QUESTION:
anyone know more than the average joe about CENTRAL sleep apnea? (non snoring)?
I feel when I dream for a long time I wake up feeling heavy and weak with a weak pulse but not like I have to breath rapidly but feel abit winded and well I'm not overweight.. completely lack the double chin they say a normal sleep apnea person usually has(or any slack inside or ourside your neck) I've had the sleep test waited 7 months. they said nothing happened, but they hooked me up with so many probes that I couldn't possibly sleep deeply enough and it took me many hours to even get close to sleeping. had no dreams and woke up feeling really refreshed oddly more than normal.like all those stupid discomfort causing things attached to me caused a light sleep so that my sleep problem never occurred. ironically during the test to find out if I had it or not ugh. so noow I either have to reinroll into a test that doesn't have the p roper environment to cause it or I keep suffering(its not every night but when I enter dream sleep) or sleep for more than 2 hours in darkness.
--->anyone know about central or other types of sleep apnea that don't involve obstruction? <--------
or if you have another idea what could be obstructing it(I sleep on my back most times) but on my side lately so I haven't been suffering from it as much. (ps I don't have asthma)

    • ANSWER:
Everyone has the same problem with the sleep test - they are bothered by the strange and different environment and so on. So the people doing the test know that and it is common. So in that sense, your situation is not that different from other people.

In central sleep apnea the brain does not send the correct signals to the muscles that control your breathing. Central sleep apnea is less common than obstructive sleep apnea, accounting for less than 5 percent of sleep apneas.

You don't say how old you are, but many people who suffer from night terrors as children grow up to continue to have sleep problems as adults, so you might want to do a little investigating about your sleep history. Consider the possibility that you may be having night terrors or even sleep walking, both of which would mean disrupted sleep.

There are several different types of central sleep apnea. Check here.

  49. QUESTION:
sore throat..keeps coming and going ?? READ ON FOR MORE DETAIL THANKS KINDA NEED TO KNOW WHY THIS HAPPEN :p?
ok so my sore throat keeps coming and going ... like it could be there for a week ,, then it will go again ... id had this a long time now i guess but it will go for ages and come bk again.. but everyday this week i woke up with one i thought it was from snoring >.< he he but i don't think it can be as i dont think i snore and have another sore throat atm now... it really hurts to swallow and every time ivd had ds one toncil has always been bigger than d other and my throat very red.. if anyone has any advice please let me no

    • ANSWER:
You should probably make an appointment to see a doctor when they open on Monday. None of us can really see your throat to make a diagnosis, and it could be something as simple as allergies (which can cause snot to run down your throat at night, irritating it) or an ongoing infection or something more complicated.

  50. QUESTION:
How can I get more out of my education?
    Lately I've just been... bored.
Yes, a teenager is bored at school. Who would have guessed?

But I am. All of it is so... boring. Strapped into the confines of a metal seat. Forced to lend ear to a teacher prattle on and on in its drawl, boring voice. I say "its" because no human being would force someone to undergo such mind numbing torture.

What they have to teach just doesn't interest me. I've also discovered that any incarnation of formal education kills my interest in any given subject. As the (rather obscure) saying goes "art school is making me hate art".

I'm fascinated by religion, symbolism, computer programming... anything revolving around the mind. I have a lot of other interests, too. Unfortunately your average High School doesn't teach any of that. Save the "computer programming" course, which was centered around endless excel sheets. Snore.

Is this what the rest of my future is going to be like? If it is I see no point in going any further. A boring life is just death by other means.

Is there some viable loophole that will allow me to tunnel through the education system, or at minimum speed up the process? Perhaps an alternative form of education? Honestly, it's like pulling nails.

    • ANSWER:
Depending on what year you are at in school, it might be worth it to bite the bullet and get all your academic req's out of the way so you can go to a college you'll like. And I have a feeling you'll like college a lot, because it requires a lot more abstract, independent thinking than high school did--make sure you find a program you like though (sounds like you might like a smaller liberal-arts college more than one of the big degree and research-factory universities). You'll also meet a lot of like-minded people who want to learn for the sake of learning and are interested in deeper subjects than what's taught in HS.

For the here and now though, if you're a freshman or sophomore in HS, see if you can skip some grades or take classes at a local college (local community colleges are still not at the same intellectual level as dedicated liberal arts colleges tho, but they're better than high school), or see if home-schooling is an option. If you're super-bored with your classes, consider them a necessary evil and focus on your other goals--if you like art, finish your homework early and visit local museums, and for CS, take classes online in programming or write your own programs. MIT has an open-curriculum system so you can access all their class materials online for free, and there are many ways to educate yourself outside the confines of our pretty deplorable US public education system.

As Mark Twain said: "I have never let my schooling interfere with my education." Set your own goals and be disciplined in meeting them, and you will go far.
